This week at DVerse, we are composing haibun about handwriting. I really enjoy this topic so was excited to write about it. 1516727121923-2041008559

People have told me I write tiny. You might need a magnifying glass to see this poetry, precious part of me. Tiny words, that I want you to read, that scream, “See me!”

I write tiny, as if there’s not enough space on this paper, as if I’m trying to hide these words while being seen.

Little blade of grass

Pushes through the pavement’s cracks

Living through winter

  1. I enjoyed reading the handwritten haibun and I love your voice in this! I’m so pleased you enjoyed the prompt and imagine your tiny words as the blades of grass pushing through the cracks. 🙂
