I am late for DVerse‘s prompt, which was to describe a feeling in a poem without naming the feeling. I would be interested to hear what feelings are evoked for you while reading this poem! Also shared with Forgiving Fridays.
Light
From a
Candle burns,
Left lit for you.
You can come home now.
No matter what you’ve done,
We wait with welcoming arms,
We wait with bright but tired eyes.
Any time of day or night, return:
Light from a candle burns, left lit for you.
Great ink🔏xxx
