Morning, Usually

Haibun Monday (on Tuesday), about mornings

The sunrise sky is on fire with color: Pink and orange signify possibility of sweetness, renewed hopefulness. I ask God to guide this day and help me be faithful and happy. From this transcendent center, I can go out and, I hope, make the world better.
…Right after I finish this coffee.

Eagerness along
With sleepiness : greet the sun
We both wake slowly.

  1. Being a night person, I seldom experience sunrise now, but your lovely description reminds me of the sunrises of my childhood. Thank you for that.
