Ask The Trees

DVerse’s haibun Monday is about solitude.

I might go into a forest to find solitude, or visit the nearby park with many trees. I wonder, do the trees feel crowded, or do they, too, find solitude? How peaceful is the forest for its oldest inhabitants?

  1. I often talk to trees and love woods and forests. Good questions, which apply to humans too, especially about finding solitude in a crowd. I love the way you’ve captured the breaking of forest silence in your haiku!
