Two haiku for Frank J. Tassone’s prompt on the September equinox, which is today.
Equal night and day:
The score between sun and moon
Tied at the moment
Longer nights chill me:
Welcome after summer yet
Vaguely ominous

It is the longer time of darkness that can seem eerie. Our summer wasn’t too hot, but the Dog Days of summer are padding it’s length. And most of us will have to readjust again when we have to switch the clocks again.
