This poem was inspired by these prompts: about the positive side of change and about astonishment and wonder.
What she thought was the end of the world,
When she thought she was unlovable
Because she seemed unappreciated
By someone whose love she had wanted —
What she thought was rock bottom,
Was precisely the solid ground she needed
To stand at last on her own feet,
To rebuild, and find astonishment at the new life
She is leading, which she didn’t know she wanted.
Oh, YES!!!!!! This is EXACTLY the lesson, when it feels like the world is falling apart, solid ground forms beneath our feet and we walk into a future beyond our wildest dreams. I love this poem. The universe dreams bigger dreams for us than we sometimes dream for ourselves.

Ah, wonderful when that turns out to be the case. (And isn’t it wonder-ful how it usually does?)

Some foundations are made of the unlikeliest of materials. Good for her!

Yes this is so true as just one disappointment can be a stimulus to better things.

There is power in being able to rebuild a life that enriches you instead of diminishing you.

the “end of the world” is most often a new beginning that if we embrace it, will be better.

Sometimes we just astonish ourselves! It’s true that rock bottom gives us a push up.

A rock bottom is a way to rise again… as long as you haven’t drowned before.
