I wanted to write a quadrille for DVerse (this week’s word is “way,” which is a very open-ended word), but I didn’t know how to start, so this was born.
Many ways to write a poem:
Find a form and fill in,
Let syllables make teams in a rhyme scheme,
Or — simply write and let words flow.
Always a great poem is attempted,
Wished, but we know not if it
Exists, until it’s finished.
Very true. 🙂

And gobs of inspiration may flow from dreams …. which means one must keep a notebook bedside. Love your 44.

I like this reflection on the writing process. Isn’t it true? Sometimes I write and when I stop and read what I’ve written I look up and say, “Where did that come from???”

We breathe them into being with our very life force. Each one is a miracle. Nicely done.

I like that your words make the shape of a vessel, waiting to be filled. (K)

Creation is a testimony in itself, as you prove.

Absolutely love how you used the prompt for this week! And total truth! Some days my poems are created from forms others just flow. I never know which way it will go. Great job!
