When a Meteor Comes and Destroys All Your Plans

This was inspired by today’s FOWC: Laconic and the Sunday Writing Prompt from MLMM, “great balls of fire.” I decided to also combine it with the photo challenge. Might as well link up with the Writers’ Pantry, too. 🙂

The woman drank in the night sky,
Crescent moon high above her head,
A gift, moments of peace to satisfy
The craving for nature she needed.

Out of nowhere a meteor did fly
Flaming, gigantic and devilish red!
Because of the fiery bright sky,
The peace was shattered, interrupted!

Then came her laconic reply,
“This sucks,” just before she was dead.
