Don’t Look Down

A poem for FOWC: Stoic and MLMM’s Photo Challenge #385 (I am happy to have written something for this before the week was up).

Don’t look down.
Long and steep is the way,
Seems a perilous climb,
Yet to worry is a waste of time.

Acknowledge your fear.
Then tell it to take
A flying leap off the side
Of that rickety bridge,
So that stoic determination
Will be leader and guide.

At least there are handrails,
And beautiful green scenery.
