This is my response to MLMM’s Photo Challenge #408, this image:

I realized after a day that it was probably supposed to be a reflection in a pond or some kind of water, but my original associations were with Van Gogh’s “The Starry Night.” Another nonet.
Van Gogh’s Starry Night is modernized:
There remain bright swirls in the sky,
Light-pollution confusion
Obscuring most darkness.
Nobody sees trees
In urban sprawl,
But something’s
Timeless
Here
We went to the Immersive Klimt exhibit and they still had a lot of the Immersive Van Gogh advertising up. Apparently my daughter wants to go when they have Van Gogh up instead of Klimt.

I definitely see the Starry Night influence.
