Today at DVerse we are being inspired by art again. I was inspired by the image below, by artist Catrin Welz-Stein.
What kinds of transformations and openings are in front of me?
Such richnesss on a bed of fertile green,
Such wonders brought to life from dreams!
In my head are butterflies, and in my hand a key.
ah…..and dreams do come true! 🙂 And the key….actual or mindful or that creative imagination wrought by butterflies??? 🙂 Loving this one!

These last two lines truly feel like a classic poem:
“Such wonders brought to life from dreams!
In my head are butterflies, and in my hand a key.”
Wonderful!

A very whimsical feel and that key can open doors to the imagination.

very sweet – if we all had such a key and a lovely place to walk and dream.

This is so short, but says so much. Maybe that’s all we need – butterflies and a key. Dreams, and the way of acting on them. Ideas, and the road to making them work. Wings and roots, wings and roots.

Such a memorable line: ‘In my head are butterflies, and in my hand a key’. I wonder where a poem would lead that began with this line!

I enjoyed your description of this artwork the best i think, you put it back to us, how those butterflies and the key were his tools and also his strength as he ventured into the unknown, a very good description I had not noticed about this artwork before reading your poem.
