I will open my heart to you.
Even if you — or I — will leave,
I will open my heart to you knowing
This, because that is true
Courage. I accept the pain.
I have cheated death and change
Of any profit. This necessary price
To pay is painful — but worth it.
Shared with DVerse Poetics because I think that if people had courage like that, we could create a utopia. Also shared with Forgiving Fridays because the poem is about loving people, even at the risk of experiencing pain.
I 100% agree if that if we all had that kind of courage we would be living in a utopia! Wonderful take on this prompt!

Oh this is good because you see a simple, albeit painful, way to create an ideal society filled with people of integrity. And yes, maybe it’s the best way to live another: by baring our hearts to them.

what a wonderful world it would be, if we could love and not expect reciprocity. a world where we can be honest and not used for being true.

I think it takes a little pain at first, but in the end it will soothe us all… it’s all about sharing.

Oh I love this, thank you, thank you for contributing it for #ForgivingFridays. It takes great courage to open your heart to love. In fact, “courage” comes from the French word meaning heart! You have such willingness to share your creativity and loving. I acknowledge you and am inspired and touched.
Blessings, Debbie

Well, it’s easier written than done, but it is my goal. 🙂
