I keep trying to learn how to drive and, on Monday, got my renewed learner’s permit. This morning I drove through my neighborhood for an hour. It mostly went well, but… well, this short butterfly cinquain explains it. Sharing for day 17.
I cried
While out driving:
Anxiety was high
But after letting the tears dry
Just drove,
Knowing there is a treasure trove
Beyond those emotions –
Shortly it will
Arrive.

I was in my thirties before I had a license. Getting over the anxiety of it all was what took some time.
