DVerse’s haibun Monday is about solitude.
I might go into a forest to find solitude, or visit the nearby park with many trees. I wonder, do the trees feel crowded, or do they, too, find solitude? How peaceful is the forest for its oldest inhabitants?

Of a predator
Nice and brief! You ask the question I have often asked myself about trees.

Loved this Haibun! I wonder if the unheard fallen tree feels its solitude?

I often talk to trees and love woods and forests. Good questions, which apply to humans too, especially about finding solitude in a crowd. I love the way you’ve captured the breaking of forest silence in your haiku!

I often feel like a predator in the woods – so conscious of how loud my steps must seem to the silence that prevails. Lovely post.

a totally zen moment for me, I went on a hike today and was looking at the big trees, i never thought they might need solitude and privacy for their whisperings. you words are so thought provoking

Very nice, RW. I tend to think the trees find their strength in their silent number. The Haiku nails it.
