DVerse is back from its summer vacation, so the quadrille has returned! This week’s word is “sun.” I am also sharing this with Fandango’s one-word challenge.
There is a point near a black hole
Where escape becomes impossible,
Where gravity has too strong a pull —
Not even light can run from its grip.
On the other side of this horizon
No stars shine, no suns burn
Point of no return.
Clearly beautiful quadrille..

I hadn’t thought of it like that but I imagine it makes sense on the other side of that horizon: “No stars shine, no suns burn”

The thought of getting near that place is scary. Good description in your quadrille of such a place.

This made me think of how we respond to the temptation to go against our own values. Watch out for those black holes. Great metaphor.

One must be careful when venturing near black holes or you might find yourself in dark place.

I like the idea of light running – it’s an interesting verb to choose, that really adds life to the piece.

what a mysterious thing is a black hole. your quadrille captures the horror of no light no escape. I was just reading about two black holes about to collide, and they used the words danse macabre. the dance of death. thanks for sharing.
