This was inspired by FOWC a few days ago but mostly by MLMM’s Tale Weaver: Time For Change. Also linking with PSU’s Writers’ Pantry.
The alarm incessantly dings, and it seems the
Clock is chiming, “It’s time for a change!”
A huge task: A plethora of aspects
Could use revising; life might seem strange.
Yet even small changes feel the same.
It’s certainly time for me to stop
Feeling pained, drained, and afraid.

I appreciate the message in your poetry …. time indeed. Having both vaccine doses helps, but we have a way to go. Happy Sunday!

I’m getting my first vaccine Tuesday…my first step toward ending this lack of human contact.. I identify with your words!

I have no solutions, but I certainly can commiserate. My jaw is constantly tensed and my muscles are like taut cables. The first person who suggests that I “need a massage” gets something thrown at them. I live 50 miles from any city, and I’m on disability. Those of us who really need a therapeutic massage can’t afford one.

This might be a pandemic poem. Speaking as one who knows. http://www.looseleafnotes.com/2021/03/to-write-a-poem/

I think we have to feel those feelings though, for a while, in order to get clearer on where we want to go from here.
