This is mainly for Linda G. Hill’s SoCS: Up/Down. I wrote a backwards cherita (stanzas of 3, 2, and 1 line rather than 1, 2, and 3). It also fits with Writing Wednesday: Insanity. I have been feeling less insane lately, but it still applies. π
Ups and downs of the ocean waves
Are like my brain, uncontrollable tide
From which I wish I could run and hide.
I prefer, and swim better, in a calm
Pool, and when swimming is tiring
At least I know how to float.
That was a nice poem. I’ve never heard of a cherita before but I know I liked what you wrote π

I think we are all going through Ups and Downs – I was sitting for a long car ride and ended up pinching a nerve. It’s easier to be up than sit down!
Just keep your head above water! π
