A décima for this week’s challenge: STEAL in the B rhyme spot. I wrote this one yesterday, on Valentine’s Day. I honestly thought that I would feel at least moderately sad yesterday, but it was actually one of the happiest days in a while. 🙂
Mostly alone on Valentine’s Day,
However, determined I feel
To not let that any joy steal.
Celebration of love can stay.
Although I for another pray,
The answer is slow to arrive,
No matter what I might contrive.
It seems today I’m out of luck
Yet not in a pity-pit stuck,
For there is happiness alive.
